How to address your Pitta Imbalance?

Here are the steps you can take to work towards removing the imbalance:
  • In general, prefer sweet, bitter, and astringent tastes which are cooling and refreshing.
  • Dairy can help balance the heat of pitta and should include things like butter, milk, and ghee.
  • Minimize spicy, salty and sour foods, such as chilies and citrus fruits.
  • Avoid veggies like tomatoes, onions, and hot peppers.
  • Avoid Junk Food, Fried Foods, Baked Foods, Fermented Foods.
Diet Ingredients
  • Don‚Äôt skip meals or wait till you‚Äôre extremely hungry to eat.
  • Stay hydrated. Make sure to drink lots of water throughout the day.
  • Spend time in nature, take a stroll in the woods, and keep plants and fresh flowers at home.
  • Consider performing a daily massage with cooler oils like coconut oil.
  • Recommended Yoga Postures ‚Äď Tree Pose (Vruskshasana), Waist Rotation Pose (Kati Chakrasana). Recommended Breathing Techniques (Pranayama) ‚Äď Cooling Breath (Shithali Pranayama), Alternate Nostrils Breathing (Nadi Shodan Pranayama). Daily Meditation is highly recommended.
